32.2. Enabling the Social Site

To use the social site, you must enable it for either a trip type or specific trips. To enable the social site for one or more of your trip types, go to the "Trips" menu and choose "Types". On the "Browse Trip Types" page, choose "Edit" from the "Tools" menu for the trip type you wish to enable social site.

On the "Update Trip Type" page, select the "Social Site" tab and then choose the corresponding option that determines when the social site is available to guests.

If you choose "Yes, social site available at the time of reservation", Arctic will make the social site available as soon as the first guest books on the trip. If you choose "Yes, social site available after trip", Arctic will make the social site available the day the trip ends. 

Once you have made your selection, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit" to save your changes. If you have existing trips, the system will offer to update them, enabling the social site for each trip. If you do not update your existing trips, the social site will not be available for existing dates but will be available the next time you create new trips based on this trip type. You will need to complete this process for each trip type you want to offer the social site.

To enable the social site for a specific Trip, go to the "Calendar" or the "Browse Trips" page and navigate to the trip and date for which you wish to enable the social site and then click to go to the "View Trip" page. On the "View Trip" page, click the "Edit" button.

On the "Update Trip" page, select the "Social Site" tab and then choose your preference for when to make the social site available to your guests. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit" to save your changes and enable the social site for this trip.
